Our first global initiative supported Manila based community organization, Project Pearls, so of course we wanted to include Manila on this tour! Our trip to the Philippines was filled with opportunities to educate and engage ourselves on every facet of daily life, from meetings, photo shoots and interviews to day long traditional meals with elders and supporting local artists’s creative endeavors. We travelled to Lipa Batangas to learn about agriculture and sustainability, and planned and produced two of our own events at The Bowery and NOKAL Manila. We teamed up with Project Pearls again on this trip, and volunteered to help feed 2,000 kids for their annual holiday celebration. We’re excited to learn more ways in which we can support the young children of Tondo, Manila and the projects carried out by PP.
