Our visit to Bali was an educational eye opener for the team and included more field work and meetings with local organizations. We met with the amazing founders of The Shelter Project, a positive, "temporary home" solution to support communities displaced by natural disasters. We also had the honor and privilege of spending an afternoon with the incredible Ibu Robin Lim (Ibu for Mother), known all over the world for providing thousands of low-income women with healthy pregnancy and birth services, and acknowledged by CNN as 2011 Hero of the Year. Her courageous foundation known as Yayasan Ibu Bumi Sehat (Non-Profit Healthy Mother Earth Foundation), not only provides healthy birthings in Bali but also medical aide for those in need throughout Indonesia, the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Room Service also DJ’d in two venues: The Lawn Canggu and SingleFin in Uluwatu, which were both received by fun, energetic crowds! We're beyond grateful for Uluwatu Surf Villas and Mana Uluwatu for their gracious care, accomodations, and love.
